Jesse’s Girl Baked Powder Eye Shadow Review and Swatches

So I came across these eye shadows while in Rite Aid today. They were made by Jesse’s girl. I have never used anything from this brand before but the baked powder eye shadows really stood out to me! The picture displayed is from my camera phone so definitely not the best example to give you on color but it gives you some sort of idea.
There were a total of 6 colors available
1- Forgot! Will update…(black/silver)
2- Volcanic (pink/gold)
3- Moon Beam(dark blue/gold)
4- Aqua (baby blue)
5- Terra Bronze (off white/gold)
6- Evergreen (green/ gold)
I decided to pick up 2 of the colors to try them out for 3.99 each. The pots that they come in look similar to MAC’s Mineral Eyeshadow packaging. But a bit smaller. The colors I took home were Moonbeam and Terra Bronze. Both colors were really easy to use. Smooth and blend able. MB was really pigmented but Terra Bronze wasn’t so much. I had a hard time getting TB to show up on my skin when swatching. Since I am so pale I don’t think TB will really work for my eyes but I’m thinking it will look fabulous over a bronzer or blush. Both colors are a bit glittery. Not messy, but definitely glittery.
So they pictures above (sorry for the awkward sizes) Light shadows on top are Jesse’s Girl Terra Bronze on left, and Milani Runway Eyeshadow shadow in Beach Sand on the right. Same order in swatches and in the pot. Below are MAC Sea and Sky, Jesse’s Girl in Moon Beam and Milani Runway Eyeshadow shadow in Blue Lagoon. (please click for larger view)
The light colored shadows are about the same. Easy dupes for each other. The blue swatches the MAC sea and sky is definitely a more vibrant color, but the others are still pretty.
Xoxo! Sara

@ Mama Jen- Its weird. I have only seen it at one Rite Aid near me, not even all Rite Aids I have been too. I haven't tried anything else but these items. but they have some pigments that look pretty intense!
@Houston Living- Yeah, check them out and let me know what you think!

So Rite Aid is not my favorite drugstore, they never have anything I want and are always out of stock of whatever it is they do have. That said, I'm going to go tomorrow to find these eye shadows. And I looove that you do swatch tests, I'm always doing that myself but I never think to blog about it. So thanks!

@Lizard- I asgree Rite Aid can be good or bad. I never go really looking for anything, just sometimes stumble upon a good deal. Let me know what you think of the shadows when you see them! I updated more swatches BTW
