OCC Cosmetics Lip Tars vs. MAC Pro Lip Mix

As soon as I saw the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetic Lip Tar’s I automatically thought of MAC Pro Lipmix’s.
The idea behind both products is the same. But they are definitely not alike. Both brands have a wide range of colors that you can custom mix to create different shades or even wear alone.
But when you compare the products, “Apples to Apples” the texture is so completly diffrent. The OCC Lip Tar is a really thin in texture, While MAC Pro Lipmix is really thick. When you look at the products side by side. The Tar has the texture of
stain and the Lipmix is thicker like a lipstick.
Can you see the difference in the picture below? Pictured from left to right are 1- OCC NSFW 2- Crimson. In color they are almost a perfect duplicate for each other.
I trully love both of them, At this point Im not sure which one would be my favorite. They both have amazing staying power and the colors are bright and vibrant.
It would probably be a matter of preference as far as textures go for those looking to purchase. I really feel like you get more product with the OCC product however. Because the tube is bigger and you use such a small amount for each application.All images are clickable thumbnails: If you look closely you can see the difference in texture between the two.
If your interested in seeing swatches of more of the mac pro lip mix let me know. They are very true to color so I didn’t post them. Thats the greatest part about both brands. What you see through the tube is what you get.
Definitely a selling point for me! I love that!

@ Yummy411- Thank you! I love stains so I like the OCC ones alot, But I like lip mixs too. They feel just like a MAC lipstick on your lips and same texture too. You can wipe them right off without a makeup remover even. They do not stain at all! Both are fantastic in there own ways!

I must say, Avon had some real deals on makeup in the clearance section!I haven't had good makeup in a long time due to economics but it was to time for me to put some money aside get on the internet and find some deals on makeup-I have had enough of crappy dollar store makeup.
I bought my foundation and powder when MAC had the 25% off sale and if you spend $60.00 u get free shipping.My roommate and I went in half on that deal,so we saved 25% and got free ship..Now since I have new make up I wanted to get the rest of the items I needed so I searched around and someone recommended AVON. I have not even thought about AVON for years I always thought they were to high and for a couple of extra bucks I could get the department store makeup-Boy was I wrong
I went on the clearance website,they had mascara for $1.99 mineral wear for 5 bucks and eyeliners 2 for 6,you cant even go to the grocery store and get prices like that. If you spend 30 you get free ship or the regular ship price only runs you 3.00!
With the recession and all it is nice to know you can still buy some decent quality make up for a very fair price.
This is what I got for $30 dollars plus tax:
2 eyeliners
1 mineral blush
1 mineral eyeshadow
1 eye shadow brush (2.99)
1 eye brow liner
1 liquid liner
1 plumper lip gloss
1 lip liner
1 mascara
MY GRAND TOTAL: $33.23
I also found out to late that AVON gives a 6% rebate at MR.REBATE,I could of saved 2 more dollars on my order!

@The Dime Collection- Girl you did good! Thats amazing. There are definitely a few things from Avon that I love. Something has got to be said for a brand that has been around as long as it has! Ima definitely watch out for that clearance section! Thank you!

Ya I have no idea what it is about me and my lips but I do not do a lot with them. I just do stuff to my eyes a lot. I would love to play around with colors and find something for me.
