on no my daughter is 2 and is already a DIVA.. it's funny and scary at the same time. Everyone always jokes and tells her she's just like me. I buy her the cute little chap stick that have shimmer and she won't leave the house unless she puts it on. lol At home i let her play with some of the drugstore makeup i have that i never wear, she has so much fun doing it.

this is so sweet. it makes me miss my boy back home. i was always a makeup fiend, my mother would find me in my aunts makeup case the second she left the house. i cut my own bangs at age 3 - i know, so stylish! but to be honest i NEVER EVER wore face makeup (concealer, foundation, powder, blush, bronzer) until i met my perfectly complected boyfriend chris. he is a gem, and i wanted to so much to be beautiful next to him (at the time i had horrible acne scarring and those little tiny oil bumbs everywhere). little by little my face grew out of yuck but i still love my foundation and my zillion colors of blushes. so, the story goes, i always loved makeup but the reasons i love it have changed and i'm sure they will continue to change...

@Michelle- Thats so funny! I can relate to that. I feel like I go throw stages where things are less important and then suddenly more...

@Mama Jen- Your so funny! I worry this is how it will be for my daughter. She already wants the very best! We got her tickets to see Hannah Montana. We got tickets as soon as they went on sale. she is in the 5th row I think... she says mom, if I cant be in the 1st row I dont think I wanna go! Talk about Diva starting young! She is 7!

@Lisa Kate- Im glad you are ok! I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. Now you are talking care of you! Part of that is catering to yourself. Thats where your Diva side comes in. Makeup Makes me feel pretty too. Sometimes I think my confidence only exists in my cosmetics. lol. So not stupid at all!

@Potion Princess- I love this story! Too cute! When I was reading your comment I was totally thinking of Fancy Nancy. If you dont know who she is google her. Shes a childrens book charector. I can imagine her being you.. too cute:) Thanks for the comment:)

I think I was born one-my parent's tell this story to everyone-this happened when I was 5-one day in primary school my teacher said"children let's play a game, let's say anything you want right now,I can just wave a magic wand and you can have it"-and so she went around the class child by child,as it was a really hot day and the shop was visable from the window she was getting a lot of answer's like icecream, orange's,lemonade etc-then she came to me and I piped up "diamond's",she burst out laughing and said "why do you want diamond's"my answer"well you said we could have anything in the world, why would I want an icecream when I could have diamond's",the teacher actually rang my parent's laughing-see diva from the very start.

It actually took a major stint in the hospital for me to change. I wasn't eating and it effected my stomach really badly...Now I'm on a 2000 calorie a day diet (from a 300 cal per day) and, obviously, I've gained weight. I'm much happier now but I feel like I need makeup to be pretty (stupid, huh?). Makeup just makes me feel better about myself :o)

Great question! I feel I've come full circle actually. I used to be 'high maintenance' when I first met my husband, then simplified when I got together with him. Only recently (last year or so) did I rediscover the high maintenace side of me -- and love it! LOL.

I'll have to give some more thought to this and post another comment later.
