Eyes Lips and Face Mineral Lipstick Swatches and Review
This was my first purchase from Eyeslipsface cosmetics. Yes Eyes Lips and Face. Saying I am wearing ELF cosmetics just doesn’t have the same fabulous ring to it!
Lately I have been seeing a ton of posts on Eyeslipsface hauls as well as reviews and swatches. So I wanted to get in on the action too. I was curious to know if there was any value in these $3.00 products!
So to test out the brand I ordered the C Eyeshadow brush, 5 shades of Mineral Lipsticks and the Cool Bronzer. (I used the 75% of mineral lipstick code
I really like the way the shadow brush felt. Soft yet firm. I can really see it doing a good job at applying a good amount of color to the lid. However, I met up with a friend after work and since she was in need of a couple brushes we agreed to let her test it out for me.
The Cool Bronzer has 4 squares. 1 that looks like a highlighter. 1 that looks like a blush and 2 a bronzer. They are all matte in texture. To the touch these have great pigmentation but for a full days wear… we shall soon see how they hold up.
The Mineral lipsticks are Good and Bad at the same time. The Bad is that the colors are nothing like I had expected to be getting when I ordered from the site. The color descriptions are off in my opinion. See swatches below. I expected Cheerful Cherry to be a brighter red and Royal Red to be a deeper red. Royal Red looks Maroon and Prime Plum looks brown.
The Good- These are sheer to build able coverage. They sink into your lips like lotion and feel amazing! Overall I like them. They are long wearing however after a bit I can still feel the lipstick on my lips but the color fades and I find the need to reapply… But for the price… I cannot expect perfection.Have you tried these? What are your thoughts?

Thanks so much for the review! I reeeally wanted to try these out but read all the reviews on the colors being off :/ I still want to try Natural Nymph though! Ugh, I know what you mean about being able to "feel" their products sitting on your skin though

I actually really like ELF mineral lipstick. They come in great colors and they're long lasting. I would like them more if they had a faint smell/taste to them. Kinda like how MAC has that vanilla cake thing going on. But thats just me! Haha.

I'm still waiting for my package to arrive, didn't order any lipsticks though, as I was all out for studio line (with 75% off code). Great to know that the lipsticks were good enough

I love the bronzers!! So glad I picked up all 3. (:
I like the nude looking lippies.
Not sure if I'll ever purchase any though.

Those look pretty and the buildable coverage sounds quite nice. It is strange about the colour names as I had a similar thing happen with Maybelline today as I got a "Hollywood Red" lippy that I thought would be classic Marilyn Monroe Red and it turns out dark pink colour! It completely threw me!

I have one of these lipsticks. I don't remember the name but I thought it was ok. I expected the color to be different too, but it was still nice.

I'm short of funds at the moment but I so want to get my hands on some of these. I friend of mine wasn't impressed by some of her purchases but she loved their finishing powder.

@ Emotion- Its a really pretty color. I havent tried it so not sure how it covers. But the sitting on lip part isnt bad with these they sink in! like I can feel the moistere but color gone…
@ Marie- I never really notice scents, haha. I just smelled on of these and I cant smell anything! Which is probaby betterfor me!
@ Em- Ahh dont be jealous! I will order elf for you! Every company should be world wide! I hate feeling like I cant have something!
@Halifax! Im excited to see your post when your order arrives!
@ Rai- I love the bronzer I got! So pretty! Which one is your favorite of the 3?
@ Robert…. So dissapointing isnt it! Its like your idea was taken. You have your eyes planned out.. done. Lipstick is the finishing touch, put it on and it goes on like you never expected!
@Lipglossgossip- Exactly. Just nice
I feel the same
@Eliza- im sure everything is good and bad to diffrent people. Especially when you start comparing to other brands and such. I hope you get some stuff soon!! Cant wait to know what you think!

SARA! YOU COME TO MY RESCUE YET AGAIN! I can't believe it, I was going to buy the Natural Nymph and the Nicely Nude and backed out last minute because last time I ordered from e.l.f. they colors were nothing like the images online. That said, I'm so happy to see these swatches! For my natural cherry lips, would these "nude" them out? Thanks! xoxo

i haven't tried their mineral lipsticks, but i like their lipglosses.

@ Lizzard- My lips are pretty pigmented too. I wore the Nicely Nude today and it showed up fine. Its really pink though! Didnt expect that! I will wear the natural nude tomorrow and tell you!! The colors are really build able though… So they start sheer but more color is easy to build without feeling heavy or ca-key. i love that about them!
@Joyciexclusive- ohh i will have to look at those!
Thank you!!

Excellent, I can't wait to hear and I looked up my colors again, the two I wanted were Natural Nymph and Runway Pink (which looks like a pale pink nude lip – a little pornographic but that's how we like it sometimes) hahaha! I'm sorry I don't know what gotten into me, it must be the whole hangover and going to work thing. Ok I'm stopping now.

I got 4 of these when they had their 75% off sale, I do love them!! I also noticed the color was off. I posted some swatches on my blog as well, and they deff look different than the site. I wear nicely nude most often!
