Getting Ready for the Wedding: Airbrushing
Submitted by Sara on September 5, 2009 4:30 pm17 Comments
Jineane aka the Bride already works in the Beauty Industry as a Nail Technician. So when it comes to beauty services she feels the same way most of us do about makeup- that most times we could do it better ourselves.
Hoping it would give her a chance to relax a bit and also to save on time, Jineane made an appointment to get her hair updone as well as get her makeup airbrushed before the ceremony yesterday. We arrived at the Salon bright and early at 10:00am:) coffee in hand and were ready to get started.
The Stylist, Sharon took almost 30 minutes to airbrush Jineanes face and upper body? (Is this normal?) I am not really familiar with airbrushing but from what I have heard it goes on light and lasts all day. This didn’t seem to be the case with the product that Sharon used. She used a brand called 02 Cosmetics which I have not heard of. We originally thought the color was a bit dark but at the end of day it seemed to have been a great choice and ended up looking fantastic in pictures.
Jineane will hate me for posting these pictures, but since I know you have been eagerly waiting the all the Beauty details here is the finished airbrush foundation- but nothing else.
Stay tuned for the finished look in upcoming posts!! You wont be disappointed
Xoxo! Sara

It takes about 10 minutes TOPS to airbrush the face and upper body. Sometimes people can get blush and shadow airbrushed on also, but it's not recommended.
Here's a trade secret, I guess- You can use ANY brand of liquid foundation in an airbrush machine. I used like Maybelline or something for my wedding! It's the application of the airbrushing that is supposed to make it light and lasting. I hope your friend didn't pay too much for this!!

@ Everyone Thank you sooo much!!
@Lisa Kate- Thank you so much for these tips! thats so good to know~ I had MAC face and body with me. I should have just brought it and asked the lady to use it. But I didnt know about the other stuff!! I think I need to invest in the airbrush machine for events like this. lol… ya know just in case.

Airbrushing is way way expensive here in the Philippines but I think the staying power is really really long. There are a few MUAs here that use the technique too.
I never thought you can put any foundation inside the little tool they use. Great info here.
