MAC Gilt By Association: Swatches and Review

When I originally purchase from the MAC Style Black collection I skipped the Mineralized Eye Shadows completely. Then I allowed myself to fall into the hype of how wonderful they were after hearing raves on Twitter, FOTDS on Specktra, Blogger and so on…
I went back to my MAC Store to pink up Young Punk after seeing Jacklyns amazing FOTD using it with Fuschia pigment (here) and while I was at the store I added Gilty by Association to my list ( as well as the other mineralized eyeshadow’s) I really like how gold this shows up. With most MAC shadows there is a green hue to most of the gold shadows and I love that this doesn’t!

I swatched MAC Satin Taupe, Gilt By Association and Bronzescape (solar bits) eyeshadows together not because I think they are matches but so you can see the comparisons and the brown in this Style Black MES! Its truly gorgeous!

In the look above I used MAC kid shadow on the crease and a bit of MAC dazzle light on the inner corner and it turned out to be the perfect day time neutral Smokey eye. It doesn’t look black at all! Instead a deeper brown and completely wearable!

What do you think?

OMG I've always wanted to try satin taupe soooo bad!!! at some point in time, i had to decide whether to get amber lights or satin taupe.. and for some reason I went for amber lights. its really nice, but its more lighter in my opinion and I'm kinda want something thats of the darker, understone but is shimmery.. just like woodwinked. I love the colors hun! You have a pretty eye color lol! :)
