I love it, THEY hate it!
I hope everyone is having an AMAZING day today and headed out for an event filled evening… Happy Halloween my Lovelies!
For those who are here reading I am sorry for the lack of posts. I have been working on a fun new project that I cant wait to share with you soon! I miss you all and cant wait to get back chatting and catching up in the blogosphere! But while we are waiting for that news… here is a thought of the day to keep you thinking…
So what brought me to todays topic is…. As I was leaving the house my husband says, umm… Dont you think your lipstick is a bit dark? He of course rattles this off right after I have just finished applying my makeup and am convinced that this is the best lip combination I have EVER created! MAC Plum Liner, Vincent Longo Lipstain in Baby Boo toped with MAC Amorous Dazzlecream gloss! (amazing!!)
I have now been kicked right off of my high horse and am now debating how much I really loved the combination or my look for that matter….
So this brings about the question… Do you have products you LOVE that others HATE? Also, does what people say make you doubt the initial love you had/or thought you had for the product?
XOXO, Sara

ohhh I completely understand (and sympothize)! Usually in my case I really love pink and sometimes I want really baby pink cheeks or really candy pink lips and my boyfriend's response is "umm did you forget to blend?" (yes usually a comment is some sort of newbee makeup technique) then I think hmm maybe this is too pink and I just look foolish… but in the end, if you feel good, that is all that matters! So wear those dark lips as if they were your own (which of course they are! hehe)
*hugs*
can't wait to hear about your new project! You're so creative and come up with the best stuff!

Hun, I completely understand. Not from my husband, but at work I get a few looks. I work at a Five Star, Five Diamond Relais and Chateaux property…like Rich & Famous $2 grand a night Inn…dinner $500 for two. You get the idea. I talk about this on my channel sometimes. Everyone else is running around plain jane in a bun. I have the short hair do with a new makeup look everyday with colors…not neon, but probably too much to work at the local Bank of America. I just cannot work anywhere that won't accept what makes me feel good. Luv luv luv my makeup far too much. I think it looks nice and put together, but much more than the others wear. Our owner actually had me order MAC lipsticks for the staff to wear as he hates the bare lips on the waitstaff. It is a good thing I word in the admin office…lol and don't see the guests:) Great question for everyone.

This happens a lot to me. So I just shrug it off my shoulders and think to myself, "just because you don't have to confidence to wear it doesn't mean I don't just as well." haha! It's my way of dealing with things especially when my mother starts commenting on my 5inch high heels.

Of course almost every day. They say something like: "Oh what an INTERESTING makeup you have … it's great, but I wouldn't wear it." And than you go figure what is that supposed to mean.
My hubby isn't a big fan of makeup too, but at least he doesn't say anything.
P.S. I love your new blog layout

I got given a pinkish red lipstick a while ago and I honestly thought it was the perfect red for my skintone and I didn't look as if I was trying to look really old with it on, but then practically everyone else in my house told me I looked like an idiot. I still wear it when they're not around though

I totally agree with the last part. What people say tends to affect my initial thought of a product. I don't admit it but it spreads like a venom and soon I'll be tossing it out the window.
Oh, do Check out my blog, cuz I gave you an award

Ohh darling..on my visit to pick up MAC On Display lipglass, I asked my husband what we thought when I tried it on..he wasn't too keen on it. I bought it and wore it a few days ago and he said, "I love that lipcolor!" LOL
I wear what I want and if someone doesn't like it..oh well!

I always say that I only respect the opinion of those I respect. Problem is those who comment on my makeup are usually the people I respect (well, the boyfriend) LOL. He usually doesnt like bright colored lipsticks on me – im a bit dark. But id totally get bummed not being able to use the ones I absolutely love, so i wear them anyway
