Elf Mineral Eyeliner Swatches and Review
So a while back when I decided to give some of the ELF (eyeslipsface) stuff a try I ordered all four of the mineral eyeliners. (See colors swatched above) I pulled them out recently to swatch and I was a bit disappointed.
I actually did this swatch test twice. I swatched Black, Coffee, Midnight and Ash. I took my finger over the liner after 5 minutes and they smudged. I washed the liners off and re applied. I then waited 20 minutes and rubbed my finger over the swatches again and they smudged.
Long story short these have to moved from my vanity to the trash can underneath. (my own opinion and experience of course) I cant expect to much for the price. But I did pick up a ELF liquid liner at target the other day that was super black and didn’t smudge. So I know for the pricetag it is possible!

I kind of had a feeling they'd smudge easily. Oh well they all can't be winners. Thx for the review!!!
I also figured they would smudge
Too bad, they look really nice!
they look nice. can't u use them as shadow instead?
They're really pretty, too bad they rub off easily. :/
Have you tried setting them with eyeshadow?
@Janice- @ Crystal- Im sure I could make them work somehow. I was just posting primarly for those to see before they made the decesion to purchase.
Thanks for the comments everyone!
they look really nice, its a bummer they didn't work =/
I haven't noticed they smudge so easily. I only use them on my lower lashline and when I use them on top I always go over it with some kind of liquid liner.
grr what a waste of money, but some of their stuff is good i must agree… it's a 50/50 shot i guess
@ Meya- Im sure there are ways to make them more workable for those who want to give them ago. I just dont have patience for smeared liner. lol
@Blkprincess- that sounds like a great technique!
@Lizzard- Exactly. I expected to be dissapointed in some of the items. But your right, some are great!
