Guest Post! Twisted Sista Haircare Products Photos and Review
Urban Therapy London hair care line began in the United Kingdom and is definitely making its way into the US. My Friend Tish came across the Twisted Sista (sister) Hair Products and has been testing them out. After a short time it has made an incredible difference in her hair and she is guest posting to share those details with you!
Urban Therapy describes its unique edge and position as the first brand ever to span the diverse and eclectic mix of ethnic markets. Whether black or white, Asian or Hispanic, its multicultural approach to caring for you and your appearance, no matter where you are from.
Recently I have really been trying to avoid heat on my hair. I have decided to let my hair grow out embrace the natural curl that I have. With these thoughts in mind I picked up Twisted Sister (Sista) De Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner, Curl Activator Creme, Relaxing Straightening Creme and 30 Second Curl Spray while walking though TJ Maxx a couple weeks back. I wasnt sure how it would work on my hair, but for TJ’s price of $3.99 I thought I would give the brand a try.
The Shampoo and Conditioner claim to detangle and put the spring in natural curls. My Thoughts…The Product did detangle as it said and my hair really had a more spiral curl pattern, and was very soft. I noticed this even after the first day of using the products. I then applied the Creme Curl Activator and the 30 Second Curl Spray which are both non greasy and really left my hair very soft and manageable. No frizz and yet still more of a defined curl pattern!
Here are a few pictures journaling my seven days using the products I purchased from the above brand. Below is my hair washed and air dried (before using the product)
The product is very light….not heavy or greasy to the touch…just soft full hair….I was even able to go one whole week without rewashing my hair because it left no product build-up. The 30 second spray is great to keep in your purse for when your hair gets a bit dry thru the day …just add a bit and scrunch and it looks fresh and revitalized…and it dries in like no time, so no wet look leaving the house.
I would 100% recommend these products for women who have frizzy or hard to manage natural curls. My hair texture is 3C and I like it so much I think I have about 10 bottles of the Curl Activator and 30 Second Spray…everytime I go to TJ Maxx if I see it I grab it.

Wow! That first head shot is so embarrassing..I refused to show a face with that tangled web of horror…But I guess we all have to work with the hand, well the head we are dealt.

Amazing!! I should try those products one day! It's also awesome to see Tish to post a review about it!

Tish, your hair is gorgeous! So glad these products worked for you. Sadly, I think my hair's too coarse for this line. I tried the 30 second spray over the summer and it didn't really do anything for my type 4B/4C hair. Really gutted, because I'd wanted to try the Twisted Sista line for ages and (like you) couldn't believe my luck when I saw some products in T.J.Maxx. Oh well…

@FabDiva20……hey Girl …Thank you!!
@amber_j …My hair is actually about a 4A but I do detangle it in the shower first..I put conditioner on it and comb thru it very well with a large toothed comb to detangle the tightness of the natural curls then rinse and recomb before I put the activator in it

Amber I stand corrected …My hairdresser said My hair is majority 3C…some areas 3B but mostly the texture is 3C throughout…My fault

I just found and bought the shampoo, conditioner, activator and curl spray for my baby girl (who has her Papi’s Cubano hair combined with my Native American hair) and for Papi himself. I used it on her hair this morning and OH! HOW PRECIOUS! The curls are BEAUTIFUL! Now, I just need to find where to get this locally or online. Has anyone had any luck with that?

I have a question about the straightening creme though, do your curls revert back to normality when you wash your hair?

Hi Michelle! From my expierence- it isnt a permanent product. I think it just weighs the hair down to appear straighter than what it otherwise would.
I hope that helps!

wowww I used it today. Just purchased a bottle of the conditioner for 99p from home bargain. This stuff is AMAZING. I have been havin trouble with detangling and maintaining moisture on wash days but this stuff is just BRILLIANT. As soon as I put it in my tangle just melted away. I am so impressed. I am transitiong and my new growth needs moisture and this hit the spot. I think when I am fully natural I will use there whole entire line of products just great THUMBS UP.

When I saw this review on Twisted Sista products, I jumped for joy. I saw Twisted Sista products in Target a few months ago but I did not know if they really worked. I can not wait to try the whole product line. Personally, I would add some Cantu Shea Butter to the product line to add extra moisture to the hair. Thank you for the product review!!!!

I happened to see this product in Riteaid and decided to try it on s whim. The hair straightener is excellent!! Sorry I didn’t know about it before. Speaking to a friend about it, she said her sister has been using it to transition and the results have been remarkable!
