Two Drugstore Eye Makeup Removers- Tested
I have avoided visiting my MAC store (and the new collections) for the last couple of months and haven’t even come close to entering the doors in fear of bringing home alot of beautiful items I dont need in a moment of weakness. So right before I am out of eye makeup remover I picked up a bottle of CVS Brand Eye Makeup remover that I had heard worked well.First time using this I couldn’t get all of my eye makeup off! I really had to work to remove all of my eyeliner -which left my eyes a little irritated when I was through..Later this week when I went to Costco I saw a three pack of Neutrogena Oil Free Eye makeup Remover for $14.99, so I picked that up to replace the CVS bottle that wasnt working for me at home. I really debated getting this since It was again a brand I never tried and I would really hate to have 4 bottles of eye makeup remover that didnt work! Yet still I brought them home. That evening when I removed my makeup I was pleased with how easily my eye makeup wiped off with this remover. It says Oil free but It still did feel a tiny bit oily. But not enough to be bothersome.
I applied L’Oreal Creme Eyeliner (midnight blue) on my hand and let it dry. I took a q-tip and dipped it in each remover. CVS on the left and Neutrogena on the right. I used 3 strokes and above you can see the result. I used the CVS to remove the rest of the liner from my hand. The CVS Remover did take it all off. But it was alot more work. On my hand it took alot of rubbing, I cant imagine how my eye would feel after the same process!
Neutrogena Oil Free Eye makeup Remover
Have you tried either Brand? What are your thoughts?
Xoxo! Sara (All Cosmetic items discussed in the above post were purchased by me. Anything written is my own opinion and not influenced by any other person or company).

I’ve tried Neutrogena Oil Free makeup remover, and it’s nice, especially for a drugstore product. My favorite makeup remover at the moment is Clinique’s Cleansing Balm. It feels a little oily but it washes off really clean. I just gently massage it all over my face, and it gets everything off! Sunscreen, waterproof mascara, gel eyeliner… you name it, the cleansing balm gets it off. It is a bit pricey, but totally worth it since my eyelashes are lasting longer!

Thank you for this! I am always looking for new removers to try! I use wipes for my face and separate eye remover. I never seem to find one that can do it all at once!! This sounds perfect!

blugh that stuff stinks, i really love lancome’s bifacil waterproof eyemake remover – same baby blue bottle with a two layer liquid inside, the perfect dupe however? at cvs the brand lumene sells the exact same product that works just as wonderful for fractions of the cost. *hugs*

That Neutrogena oil free makeup remover is my HG! Maybe I’ll have to see if I can make my way to a Costco in the near future to check if they have the 3 packs as well. I sure go through enough of the stuff!

I have the tiny travel size but as soon as I’m all done with it I’ll be diffinently be purchasing the full size. I was hoping u liked the Neutrogena since its cheaper. But i recommend Clinique.

Not necessarily a drug store brand, but I actually like using Mary Kay’s eye makeup remover. I have 2 bottles left, so when I’m through with it, I’ve been wanting to try the Neutrogena I love your little Makeup Snob Seal. On a separate note, how did you come up with your logo? I want one but I am clueless! hahaha

I have heard so many things about mary kay remover! I never think about this brand, I am not sure why. Out of site out of mind I guess! lol
I play around with blog design and stuff so I am constantly editing images, etc. So my logo just kind of came together one day when I was playing around. I found my girl that I loved and just started pasting fonts, etc from there! lol. Try looking in stock art sites to find images you think fit you. Then you can personalize them. Cheap stock art is at fotolia.com or vectorstock.com those are the sites I use most often
