Benefit Matterial Girl Matte Powder Review

By  |  6 Comments

I was excited to find Benefts Matterial Girl Powder on Beauty ticket during my last purchase. I had seen it on the company site a few months back but it was gone when I finally thought about ordering. Its funny becasuse the day I got my BT order Benefit restocked it! So its for sale on beautyticket for 13.99 or Benefit.com for 24.00. Take your pick :)

I think the packaging is adorable. I love the little box and container. When I opened the jar I was really surprised at how yellow the powder looked. The picture above is very true to color. I had to double check to make sure I hadnt ordered the wrong shade. Fortunatly the product only comes in one color and the yellow doesnt show up  on the skin!

This is a finishing powder and does not replace your regular powder. At least for me this was the case. This product worked best for me applying on my face after I had completly finished my makeup. The powder dissapears completly into the skin and does leave a nice matte finish.

Have you tried this product? Something similar ? What works for you?

wow! I actually bought this in Hong Kong and reviewed the same product here: http://lifeandlensofbeauty.blogspot.com/2010/01/review-benefit-matterial-girl-loose.html

but my Matterial girl is not yellowish looking (inside the pot i mean). The puff got yellow because of my foundation afterwards only. maybe Benefit has a different formula for Asian and Western customers? Coz I remembered their SAs telling me that this loose powder was originally asia-exclusive :S
