Karens Body Beautiful – My Experience and Review
I feel like quite a few things I have been posting about lately have been per the recommendation of Tish. Look back and you will constantly hear me saying, Tish used this and I had to have it. She stays busy on Lovelifelipstick.net a new beauty forum that she founded- Check her out there for fabulous conversation, great makeup, haircare tips and more!
With all that said… Tish introduced me to Karen’s Body Beautiful hair care products. She had nothing but good to say about the Hair Milk and Hair Nectar so jumped on the site and ordered! Karens Body Beautiful sells Haircare, Skincare products that are 94%- 100% natural! Which makes a huge difference in how your hair and skin look and feel! Most products are available in a variety of amazing scents. Its easy to start collecting the same product for this reason alone!
I purchased Hair Nectar, Hair Milk, Hair Butter, Deep Conditioner and Conditioning Shampoo. I chose these items for my daughter primarily who has naturally curly hair. With her hair texture its been really hard to keep it moisturized especially during these cold months. Keeping my hair moisturized has been a battle for me as well this season. My hair has been very dry as well the last few months and was in desperate need of some extra moisture/ conditioning.
When I received the items I used the hair butter first. I used this as a deep conditioner. I applied on the roots of my hair and the ends. This product is fun to use because in comes in a jar and is hard. you scoop it out and rub it between your hands and it melts almost instantly and you then apply it to the hair. After I applied the KBB Hair Butter I left it in over night and washed out in the morning. While this was in my hair I couldn’t go anywhere. Due to all the natural oils the product contained it made my hair looked very oily when applied but once I washed my hair all that was left was soft hair and shine! I did the same thing In Rissa’s hair (daughter) and it was amazing what a difference it made in her curls and texture in just one use!

I took a picture of Rissas hair before starting with any of the KBB products so you could get see a difference if any was made. The first time I used this on her hair was beginning of February. I have used it continuously since then to be able to give the products a fair review.
The Shampoo and Deep Conditioner I got from Karens Body beautiful are my least favorite out of the group. I dont think its for any reason other than no matter how much I have to use on our hair and even then it is so hard to comb though. Even my hair being straight in texture It was so hard to comb though after washing and conditioning. I really wish this was more of a detangling product. When I try to comb my hair its hard to get through, When I go to comb Rissa’s hair there are tears. Even after the shower I load her hair up with KBB Milk and Nectar and it still doesnt help in detangling or combing the hair.
So with all of this said, Using the Hair Milk and Hair Nectar after the Trader Joes shampoo and conditioner really made both of our hair more manageable. It really did add needed moisture to the hair and take away frizz. With my hair straight verses Rissa Natural curl, the shampoo, conditioner and milk/nectar was too much for my hair and weighed it down. But for Rissa it was the perfect dose.
Here is a picture of Rissa today after washing and conditioning with Trader Joes Nourish Spa Shampoo and followed with Karens Body Beautiful half Milk/ Half Nectar. I have been using nothing but the KBB products on her hair this month.

I do really like Hair Butter, Hair Milk and Hair Nector. I may get these again but I am just learning more about this natural chemical free haircare and think I might like to try more brands for comparison!
Have you tried anything from Karen’s Body Beautiful or any other Natural Hair care? What are your favorites?
Xoxo! Sara (All Cosmetic items discussed in the above post were purchased by me. Anything written is my own opinion and not influenced by any other person or company).

You just described almost to a T how I feel about KBB products. I discovered them proabably about 6 months ago now and I’m still using the Hair Butter and Hair Nectar. I also didn’t love the shampoo and the conditioner at all. Next time you need to try the Lucious Locks Hair Mask. It’s a great deep conditioner! I really like it! I’m also still using that as well.

Sara! My super sweet/ super awesome web designer! How are you? I just started getting into Benefits blushes, I currently own a grand total of 2. Of course my goal is to collect all of them! But what I should really say my goal is to collect every blush out there
The natural haircare items sounds so cool. I currently use a plethora of stuff for my super stick straight hair but I should seriously look into using natural products. Thanks for the review and pics Sara!
