MAC Blush Ombres- Heaven or Hype? What do you think?

I have been so good about staying out of the collection hype with all of the mac cosmetics launches the past few months, but with my new found blush obsession I fell prey to these beautiful creatures.

I picked up Azalea Blossom and Vintage Grape. The other two colors were not as striking to me and were easy to pass by at first. The texture on these Blush Ombres are so smooth and pigmented. They do feel softer than MAC regular blushes. The more I am playing with diffrent brands of blushes I am appreciating the softness and the natural glow that I am getting from certain brands. There really is a difference…

Its funny though the one Ombre I paid the least attention to was Ripe Peach and it is the one getting the most attention. This now makes me wonder if I should have taken a closer look before it was gone.

Do you trust your own picks, or do you find yourself giving into the hype? Tell me!!

  • I only picked up Azalea Blossom. I love how smooth it is and though I have a lot of pink blushes, nothing in my stash looks like this. I don’t understand all the raves for ripe peach though. I didn’t think it was terribly unique

  • I think the blush ombres are def a heaven item. I knew I wanted Ripe Peach from the moment I saw the promo pics and am glad I got it. I tend to see what everyone’s abuzz about, check it out, and then buy what works for me. I don’t see the hype about Mac’s new Blue India nail polish…to me it’s blah…but everyone seems to think it’s hot???

  • So pretty Sara! I want the Ripe Peach but its sold out everywhere. I love it because I hardly have any peach/coral/orange blushes in my collection and Ripe peach was all 3 in one. Im still super bummed that its sold out.

  • I have bought items based off hype and when I do it usually ends up being returned…I liked Ripe Peach the1st time I tried it…but I was told by so many that if I had Taj Mahal not to get it….my Taj Mahal was on its way and I had never swatched it to know the difference so I passed on Ripe Peach…by the time I got TM Ripe Peach was sold out everywhere…luckily on a whim I called a store in Mississippi and they had some….I ordered it today and can’t wait for it to come….

  • I do pay attention to the hype, but in the end I buy what I really, really like! From what I’ve seen online, Ripe Peach is for me! But, I’ll wait to see it in person when it arrives on Argentine shores…
