Coconut Oil! A Natural Blessing for Hair and Body!
I have recently falling in love with all things Coconut oil. So much that if I see a product with the ingrident I will more than likely purchase. Yes a bit obsessive. But I tend to be that way most of the time.
Alot of things that I come to love, Tish is quite offen responsible for introducing me to. In haircare and skincare if it works, I tend to not change it. Untill Tish told me about the Vatika Frosting from Hairveda. This is a coconut oil concoction that you apply to your hair like a deep conditioner. It smells like frosting, cake batter or similar deliciousness and I just wanna eat it!
I lately have been making a habit of applying this to my hair on evenings once a week and washing it out the next morning. I tell you, when my hair is dry- it is silk. . I also use this on my daughters hair. She has naturally curly hair which is known for being even more dry… and the end result is the same.
Coconut oil will melt under 70ish degrees I believe. So the frosting can oily be purchased during cooler temperatures during the year. So its off the site now, but if you are interested be sure to check back when summers over!
On the left is pure coconut oil and to the right the Vatika frosting. Both products are very hard in the container and melt once they touch your skin. The pure Coconut oil can be used like the Vatika frosting on the hair but I am loving it for my arms and legs. I have very dry and irritable skin and the coconut oil gives my body the moisture it needs! Yes its oily once applied. But it soaks into your skin very quickly.
There are so many ways coconut oil can be used. You have probably noticed a video highlighting the benefits of coconut oil by Nymphette in my side bar for the past couple weeks, but if you didn’t get a chance to check it out, here it is for you now!
What do you think? Have you tried Coconut Oil? What do you use it for?

I’ve never tryed pure coconut oil, but recently I purchased a leave in conditioner made from 100% coconut oil. The brand is called Inecto and the product itself is called Deeply nourishing leave-in conditioner. They have tons of things made from coconut oil, I’ve tried their body scrub, but they also have shampoo, moisturisers, face scrubs and masks. If you happen to see them anywhere they’re worth a look
I don’t know what countries or shops sell them though :/
xx

I love Coconut Oil! I use it a lot in summer as a moisturizer at night and make-up remover. I bake with it, too.

I need to get some more coconut oil – but it is SO expensive for me over here.
I love using it for my hair, just like you do, and also in cooking. It’s so multifunctional. Gotta love it

Hi Adele. Where are you from? I can understand if you use it for so many things it can get steep! my jar cost close to 10 but just as a lotion a little goes a long way. But yes! I def. love it!

In Boracay, an island here in the Philippines, they use coconut for the shore massages. At the end of the massage, you smell edible. Hahaha! When I was in high school and had very long hair, I used to leave coconut oil on as natural hot oil treatment (it’s an advice from my grandma).

I mixed it with unrefined shea butter (melted) for a pre-shampoo conditioner. I have extremely dry hair and pre-shampoos are wonderful for me. I will start doing hot oil treatments with again as I had forgotten about those. Thanks, Kessa!

I’m in love with everything that contains coconut! I like to use coconut oil on my hair because it makes it soft and manageable; on my skin to moisturize it and for my nails for a conditioning and strengthening treatment. It really is a wonder of nature!

Hi Sara,
I love using coconut products too (oils, creams).Coconut has done so many miracles for me over the past few years. I don’t even go to salons that much for hot oil. I just bought coconut creams from beauty shops for my hair and use them in my hair after I take a bath, using them as a conditioner.

I haven’t tried coconut oil products. My friends though that used some coconut oils, said that it made her skin soft and moisturized.
