My Wella Hair Color Experience at Edwards Salon

Ever since the Wella Color Tour last month I have been thinking about making a change to my hair.  I am such a fan of color and love the payoff and vibrancy that Wella offers I decided it was finally time for the long thought over change.

I had an appointment at Edwards Salon in Mill City, CA this last Saturday with Edward for a color consultation and color change. I went in ready to take the plunge into any color but blonde.  I always feel like I want to be adventurous and make some drastic change until reality sets in and I realize crazy hair color along with my crazy makeup might be a bit to much. Thankfully Edward understood and suggested a darker ash brown that would even out the color to the darkest tone in my hair. Which would allow for more makeup options as well. Which in the end I was happy about since I tend to prefer myself with darker hair anyway.

Above is a before and after shot of my hair. Edward applied Wella semi permanent color to my hair which I believe was a combination of 75% dark brown and 25% ash brown. The idea was to match the color of the darkest tone already in my hair.

I love the depth of the color and how shinny my hair looks and feels.

Dont forget that when you go to your salon you can ask for your hair color of preference. I never really paid attention or really thought about this before but from now on I will be sure to ask for Wella.

A Quick Note on Edwards Salon- I just wanted to make a few comments on my experience at Edwards aside from the hair color for a minute. When I arrived for my appointment I instantly loved the look and feel of the salon. The salon was full of customers from every age group and there was plenty of  stylists on hand to take care of all of them. In appearance the staff reminded me of what you might see at a MAC Store for example. Most were wearing dark clothes that were trendy but yet still professional.

During my hair color I enjoyed speaking with Edward and hearing about his time at New York Fashion week with Oribe Hair Care (a brand I’m eager to learn more about). Edward was great, both as a stylist and a business owner. You could really see this by the interaction with customers and staff. So if you find your self around Mill City (20 minutes from San Francisco) definitely check Edwards out. Im sure you will feel the same…
