Wet N Wild Holiday Palette’s- Night Elf Swatched and FOTD
I of course like the rest of you was caught up in the hype of the new seemingly hard to find new Wet N Wild Beauty Color Icon Holiday Palettes. I found mine at Walgreens for $4.99. When viewing the pictures online the Night Elf palette was the one I was most excited about due to the gorgeous red shade the palette offered.
I did two looks with this palette to show those that are frightended by the red that there are two sides to this fabulous palette. The left side has beautiful colors that blend nicely to create a warm brown smokey look while the right side of the palette offers a completly different bolder color selection as seen below.
I really am impressed with these shadows as I am the other Color Icon palettes that Wet N Wild has produced. The shadows are buttery soft and easy to blend. I used MAC Painterly as a base to hold the shadows and I had no problem with the colors moving or creasing. In the red fotd above I did use MAC Flamable paint to intensify the red shadow however.
The Night Elf Wet N Wild Holiday Palette is swatched above. In the picture the shadows look really shimmery becasue of the way the light is catching the colors. But on the eye they are not at this way. I wanted to show you this picture so you could see the reflections in the shadows. For example the brown with the green reflects resembling MAC Club eyeshadow and many others.
I only picked up 2 out of the 4 palettes, the other being Snow Sprite. The other two palettes werent orginal enough for me and resembled the palettes that were already in the regular line ( in my opinion)

i love these palettes! I didnt even know they existed LOL they look great How much are these by the way?

I picked up this palette but the red and brown/green shimmer were really intimidating to me and kept me from trying it yet. Your look kinda reminds me of the “Jane” look (from Twilight series) and definitely inspires me to give it a try!

i’ve never used a red eyeshadow before, but used well, it really warms up the look right? this is something i’d love to experiment with

My only complaint is that because these are limited edition tracking them down is very hard. Walgreens, RiteAid sell it. Haven’t seen it in any Walmart or Target store. I haven’t checked ShopKo.
Once it’s sold out that’s it, no more. A local Walgreens sold it but ran out. I bought the very last palette in Snow Sprite. Wish I bought the other palettes.
Wet ‘n’ Wild’s Fantasy Makers didn’t sell out but the downside to that was that on November 1 all the stores pulled it from the shelves and sent it back to WnW. So lesson learned, get it before it’s gone.
