I came to your blog to enter the contest, and I also “liked” your facebook page.

Well I’ve been looking for affordable and yet high quality brushes, and I came across two brands, Sigma and bdellium (I don’t know if you know bdellium tools, but it’s also a high quality brand that can be compared to MAC brushes. It’s also antibacterial, which is very fascinating since everyone is obsessed with how to get away with bacteria. Just in case you’re curious, you can check it out at bdelliumtools.com)

So I actually purchased a stippling brush (955) from bdellium last week, and I’ve been using it about 4-5 times to apply my foundation. It was great! Very soft, and gives air-brushed and natural look. It was actually my first time using a brush to apply foundation, so it was better than I’ve expected. Until I washed it yesterday with my MAC brush cleanser.

I don’t know if mine is defective or if it’s just supposed to be like this or if other brushes does this, but black color was kinda washing away when I cleaned it with brush cleanser. And the brush sheded a little, which was unexpected according to my expectations after watching reviews. So I contacted bdellium tools about this, so I’m waiting for their answer.

Anyways so after going through this, I am kind of skeptical about bdellium tools. I don’t know if I should buy their brush set.
So I am turning to Sigma beauty, I would love to try it and maybe even compare it to foundation application using bdellium (one thing so you don’t get confused, bdellium’s application is yet great!).

As a beginner to brushes, I would love to get a chance to experience Sigma brushes.

And I enjoyed your youtube videos! It’s a great help for a beginner like me. Thanks a lot!

Hi! Thank you for stopping by and entering! I saw bdellium tools at the Los Angeles Makeup Show. I havent tried them personally. But they looked really great. I know they had a series of brushes with different brittles. Some brush “hairs” work better with dry products vice versa others with wet. I am not sure in regards to the brush you purchased but it could be something like that or just the first clense.. I am curious to know though! Please update me. And good luck in the giveaway!! xox!

bdellium has amazing customer service.
I sent them an email in the morning, and I got a reply back in less than 2 hours!

They said that the ones treated with antibacterial coating shouldn’t be cared with brush cleanser.
And they gave me a link of Michelle Phan’s way of brushing cleaning, and recommended that I shampoo the brushes, lol.

They also told me that black color washing out from the natural ‘hairs’ is normal. So I am relieved!

It’s just very funny that I spent $12 on MAC brush cleanser just for this brush, and I am not suppose to use it!

Well I guess they better put that ‘warning’ sign on the packaging, haha.

Anyways you saw bdellium at the LA show?
You must live close to LA because I do too!

Are you planning on going to IMATS in Pasadena?

I really wanna go, but I don’t know if I should..

Im glad they were so helpful!!! that makes complete sense! I live near San Francisco but traveled to LA for the show. I havent decided wheather I will go to imats yet, but you totally should!!! It will be overwhelming im sure but so much amazing stuff to see!!!
