Milani Paint Eyeshadow Palette- Limited Edition Swatches and Look

Milani has put out quite a few bold must have summer products very recently. They are limited edition and only available in July so if you are interested, Act now! One of these products is the Paint Eyeshadow Palette which contains 7 bright almost flourescent shades.

So at first glance I like the palette so, so. In my personal opinion I tend to assume its more work to use palettes like this where the colors are connected together. But the brightness of the colors are visually striking so I was excited to give it a go.

Because of the way the colors are connected it did make swatching a little difficult. I swatch with my fingers as do most I assume and I really had to rub into the shadow to be able to  pick up a good amount of color to show you. Also because some color sections are alot smaller you can imagine the difficulty.

When I went to use the palette today I was completely surprised by how easy it was to pick up color with the brush. I did not use a base with my swatches but on my eye I wore Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden. When I used a flat brush I was easily able to grab color and it stuck to my lid like glue. When I started using a fluffy brush in my crease I found it a little bit harder to get enough color on my brush so I went over it a few times.

I used the pink, the orange, the purple, the blue and the white  from the Paint eyeshadow palette and I was blown away by the intensity of the colors.  A good base I think made all the difference in getting the colors to pop like they do in the pan. ( Miss Adoro lashes #138)

On my lips I am wearing Milani’s new Haute Flash Lipgloss in Starflash. A gorgeous soft glitter gloss which is also a limited edition summer product from the brand. Find more info and swatches here.

A closer look above. I used the white in the palette as my highlight as I was trying to use this palette only on my eye. I like the white but I feel like another color may have been easier to blend out the purple edges.

I really do think this palette is an amazing value. All these colors for only $7.99. My only negative is that I dont really like  how the colors are all connected but since this isnt an everyday palette its something I can deal with.

Have you seen this palette? Get it before its gone! July only online or locally where Milani is sold.
