L’Oreal Paris Ever Pure and Ever Strong- Mask, Leave in and Night Treatment

Lately my hair has felt so dry, probably due to the extra long cold winter that poor California has endured his year (jk) I noticed my hair breaking alot more lately and not as soft as normal these winter months. I have been changing up my hair care routine and switching in and out a few different hair-care products along the way. Read the rest of this entry »

Sally Hansen Natural Beauty… Foundation and Primer and FOTD

So as I mentioned here alot of brands are being discontinued from my CVS/ Longs Drugstore. One of the brands being Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Line (Inspired by Carmindy). I picked up the Luminizing Face Primer, Luminous Matte Pressed Powder and Your Skin Makeup Foundation.

  1. The Luminizing Face Primer is really quite shimmery when first applied. It reminds me of MAC Strobe cream and a face primer mixed. The shimmer does tone down after the foundation is applied and does help brighten your complexion.
  2. The Luminous Matte Pressed Powder is smooth and creamy just like the shadows. Good Finish- not chalky at all.
  3. Your Skin Makeup Foundation shade I picked up was Porcelain which is a perfect match for me! The texture is really nice and not heavy on the skin. The coverage was good and the foundation left a great finish.

All the above are a great value. Even at regular price. If I had to pick a favorite I would say I love the foundation the most. I am definitely planning to wear this often!

Sally Hansen Natural Beauty… Eyeshadow Palettes and Swatches

I have probably mentioned before, but in case you missed it… The Longs Drugstores in my area have all been purchased by CVS. So because of this the store has been clearance-ing out many products and brands that Longs carried that CVS doesn’t. So because of this it has given me the opportunity to play around with some drugstore brands I maybe wouldn’t have tried…

A couple of the items I picked up were Sally Hansen Natural Beauty (Inspired by Carmindy) Instant Definition Eyeshadow Palette in “The Stone” and “The Storm” for $2.00 each! These shadows are super smooth and creamy. Great pigmentation as well. The lighter shades are matte but hard to see on my NW15 skin tone. They come with a small plastic insert thats tells us the top left for the lid, top right for highlight and bottom as the contour. Not sure I will use them in that way. But I love when items come with some sort of instruction.
Since swatching I am actually really excited to play with these! What do you think? Have you tried anything from this brand?

Beauty Bargain! Eco Tools Brushes and Review

So I have started to think with all my Mall and Sephora Beauty shopping it seems at times I feel I have almost been hiding under a rock and therefore missing so many beauty deals.
I have never been to the store “Big Lots”. I see it and I guess never really knew what it was or what they carried so I never stopped. But I happened to drive by on a day while I was doing a bunch of nothing and decided to go and check it out.
This store has sooo much stuff! A little bit of everything! I found recent labeled video games, beauty products, food and more. I dont really know where they get there products or how old they are so I was sketcy about buying certain things… But one thing I did find that I was really excited about was Ecotools Brushes! I got them for 3.00 for all four.
These brushes are so cute! They are travel sized and super soft. The four brushes are 1- Eye Shading brush- a flat brush best used to apply shadow or concelour. 2- Eye Shading Brush- a small Fluffy Brush best used for the crease. 3- Mineral Powder Brush and 4- Baby Buki (Kabuki) 3 and 4 are truly about the same size when it comes to the bristles, so I imagine them getting the same job done. They are honestly closer to the size of a blush brush instead of the described powder brush. 1 and 2 are pretty stiff yet very soft!
I like these brushes alot. But because of there size I probably wont use them as often as I would like to but instead keep them in my purse “just in case”!
Anyone used any of the Eco Tools brushes? What are your thoughts?
