After seeing Yinka, Michelle and Jen count up their lippies I deceided maybe I should bring myself to the sickning reality and do it myself. I thought I had around 200. Well this seemed to have been a pretty good guess. The total is 248.
149 lipsticks and 99 glosses. (Please dont let my husband read this. jk.) When you actually start adding up facts thats it when it seems to really make you accountable for the things you do!I truly feel as if I need to be done buying. But you all know how well I do on commitments to not buy. So no promises. But seeing these numbers makes me really think about what more could I possibly need? Here is My Quick and Dirty thoughts about MACS New Naked Honey Collection. Maybe its my head cold but Im not in the mood for sugar coating. lol.. Hopefully you understand what I mean though..

The Naked Honey Collection Includes three shadows. I really dont feel that the eyeshadows are very original. Looking at the collection I immediately imagined other mac colors or shades while looking at them. Though the combination of them was gorgeous!The Buckwheat shadow was probably my favorite but as I stared at it I started to see magnetic fields (LE shadow from last summer). Pollinator was fantastic. Really pigmented and smooth but made me think of Parasdisco (perm and also launched with Hello Kitty) Creme De Miel reminded me of alot of different shadows. Pretty light golden shadow… I just felt I had so many that would do the same job.

I am definitly not saying these are exact dupes. Just very similar. The texture however is better on the new shadows though so if you were thinking about buying Paradisco I would definitely advise you to get Pollinator eye shadow instead. I swatched them together in the store and Pollinators payoff was much smoother however I just cant see replacing mine since I dont use it that often anyway… and so on with the other shadows from the collection.

I had a really had a hard time getting a good picture of the lipglass as you can see. I am sorry! I did try. The picture is with flash

Colors are

1- Shes a Star

2- Queen Bee

3- Buzz
The Naked Honey Lip glass were all very pretty and very wearable. I already have Shes a Star Lipglass from A Mei Collection. This color is very pretty, But not something I needed a backup of. Queen Bee and Buzz were really pretty as well. If I didn’t have so many glosses I probably would have gotten them. But they weren’t a must have for me…

The Highlight Powders were Pretty. Honeylight was the lightest shade and would have been perfect for my NW15 skin tone. Golden Nectar was lovely as well. Being that they were both matte either would have been a great item to keep in your makeup bag all year long. (swatched above with eye shadows, Golden Nectar left and Honeylight right))

The Skincare items were kind of on the small side in my opinion package wise… The Skin Salve looked kinda like “shoe polish” in the container (but smaller) same kinda texture. Oily in texture which I imagine sinks right into the skin. This would probably be good for spot treatment or for dry patches. If you use it for more than that it probably wouldnt last you very long.

Here are a few swatches I took from my store last week. I didn’t swatch everything. Just what was new and I was curious about. I truly love the Brave New Bronze lippie. Though I have heard there are quite a few dupes for it, nothing I have in my collection. I mostly sport the bright lip but lately I am wearing nude allot so I am definitely getting this. I love the texture of the shadows. Even those shadows that are re promoted feel as if the texture is improved. You can tell by touch and even by sheen or the look on the skin. I feel like I will be bringing bright future home with me and maybe…. night maneuvers…. still undecided on that one.

Update: After Style Warriors official launch I only ended up bringing home Med dark Skin Sheen Leg Spray, Soft force, Bright Future, Solar Bits in Bronzescape and of course…. Brave New Bronze. This is the least I have bought from a collection in 3 years! It was all very pretty. The colors looked fantastic together. But I felt like allot I already had or had items very similar! All in all, I’m very happy with my record breaking “small haul”
