I promise these Smudge pots posts are coming to an end. I have been crazy busy these days which has cut down on my posting time. So these posts have been more spread out than usual.
When I saw the Barbie pots I was curious how close they were in comparison to Violet and Starry Night which are in the four pack from Sephora (and numerous other places)

Swatches above are purple pumps, violet, starry night and cobalt clutch. You can see they are all different from each other and all beautiful in their own way!

I have developed a fascination with Stila Smudge pots. It all started with needing Little Black Dress and after trying this color my urge to build my smudgepot collection could not be stronger.
I am not a huge fan of glitter on my eyes, But the glitter in these pots are beautiful! I love the mix of colors and how it brightens the eyes.

Check out the photo with Purple Pumps! Could the color be any brighter? I used this as a shadow on top of MAC Bare Canvas Paint. This was a new technique for me because with cream shadows I have always been in the habit of using them as a base… but with these smudge pots I was determined to show off their amazing color and the glitter inside!

Same with the Cobalt Clutch. Such an intense amazing blue. It really remind me alot of MAC Mineral Eyeshadow (MES) in Sea and Sky. This pic was taken at the end of the day. I got so many compliments on my eyes wearing this color. Maybe this is backup worthy?

Above is a look with Little Black Dress. Its so pretty! I truly love all the Barbie Smudge pot colors and know even in my crazy makeup collection they will get lots of love!! Check out some comparison swatches here.

So you have probably noticed I have been on a bit of a Stila crush lately. My Stila issue in my last post has been resolved which I am very thankful for so I am still able to enjoy all my beloved Stila items.
A product that I just love from Stila is their Illuminating Finishing powders. These are just like MAC MSF’s or Mineral Skin Finishes. In my opinion they do the same job and are about the same size. (see comparison below)

I really love both products by Stila and MAC Cosmetics. I love how they blend into the skin almost effortlessly.

In the swatches above you can see the gorgeous shimmer of both colors, Rose Gold and Bronze. I did layer a bit to ensure the camera could pic up the color but even with a lot of product the color is beautiful, blended and not over done.

So while online shopping to pick up my missing (those details here) Little Black Dress Smudge pot at Zappo’s I decided to the grab the Barbie All Dress’d up Palette too! This palette is gorgeous. I truly am in love with all the colors. So bright and the combinations will keep me wearing a different look all week!

So after seeing Pumps and Gloss rave about Little Black Dress I started lemming for it. I already knew how much I loved MAC Young Punk Mineral Eyeshadow (MES) so I knew I would love this too!

Ok so check out the first swatch. MAC Young Punk on top of MAC grease paint stick, second is Stila Little Black Dress. Identical right! Last swatch Young Punk alone without a base.
