The Exit Interview- To Repurchase or Not?

Its  that time again for another round of “The Exit Interview” A final review on finished products before they hit the trash.

I just finished up a few products I wanted to mention. Read the rest of this entry »

The Exit Interview- To Repurchase or not… Too Faced and MAC Cosmetics

Here we are again! More products finished! I love the sense of accomplishment I feel when finishing an item. Such a feeling of satisfaction that I actually got my moneys worth! So the latest items to hit the recycle bin are…
Too Faced Lash Injection Pin Point Mascara- This is said to cover your lashes with small tubes and make lashes longer. I really do like this mascara! It feels like a gel base when you apply. Even when it dries it doesn’t make your lashes hard nor flaky. The brush is super skinny and did take some getting use to. But I honestly love this stuff! For me, it did what it said. I will definitely by again!
Next up is MAC Cosmetics Prep and Prime Microfine Lip Refinisher- This was launched as a LE (Limited Edition) item with the MAC Future Earth Collection. I love, love, love this stuff! No exaggeration. There are 2 halves to the product. One takes off dry skin on your lips the other is like a chap stick to moisturize. I hope MAC relaunches this before I run out of my backup! If you haven’t already guessed it, this is definitely a product I would purchase again:)
Have you tried either of the above products? What are your thoughts?

The Exit Interview: To Repurchase or not…. Revlon, MAC and Smashbox

So here are some thoughts on some items I have recently finished… Final thoughts before the package hits the trash.

1- Smashbox Brow Tech. This product is half powder half wax. I dont use the wax so I find it to be kind of a waste for me, But can definitely see how it may benefit others. The color brunette is a great match. But this product is definitely is something that could be replaced easily with another brand without worry.
2- Origins Balanced Diet Moisturizer- I am only about halfway through this product but I had to pour it into a old mac lightful jar to make it easier to use. This stuff smells amazing. Feels great on the skin. but it is so thin in texture. The packaging just doesn’t make sense in my opinion. When you try and get it out you spill way more than needed. I am now loving it 100% now that its been transfered to its new container.
3- MAC Studio Stick- This is a cream foundation. I use it to contour or as a bronzer though to accentuate the cheek bones etc. I love it. But I love my Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess more. :)
4- MAC Prep and Prime Face Primer I truly love this stuff. I feel like I use less foundation and I never break out when wearing it.. love.
5- Revlon Color Stay Mineral Foundation- I really really like this. I have been using it for a bout 2 weeks. The lightest shade is a bit dark for my nw15/ivory self but during the summer I am able to get away with it. Great coverage and finish!
6- Revlon Complexion Perfect Foundation- I really like this stuff too. Perfect for days I wake up late. I can throw this on with some liner and gloss and be good. Coverage is great and the color match is perfect. I do feel like it didn’t last very long though!
This interview is over…. Until the next time…:)

The Exit Interview: To Repurchase or not….

I always have a hard time deciding weather or not to repurchase an item. Its not for the lack in loving the product most of the time. But for me, I usually have the next new thing lined up waiting to try in its place!

Origins- A Perfect World: While dropping off a bunch of empties at the Origins counter I decided to pick up one of their moisturizers to replace one I had recently run out of. I ended up purchasing Balanced Diet and but got a sample of a perfect world with it. This jar lasted me a couple weeks. I dont think I used it long enough to give it a fair review. But in that short time it had not made me want to buy the full product. The Balanced Diet however I have been loving since the day it hit my skin! More on this later…
Philosophy- Micro Delivery Exfoliating Face Wash: This is for me definitely a product I love. I have dry patches on my face and this helps keep the skin even and the flakiness away! Its super gentle and can be used daily without irritation. This is something I never want to be without!
MAC Cosmetics- Sculpt and Shape Foundation- I am actually kind of glad I am out of this. I purchased it when the collection launched because it was new and sounded fab, not that I dont like it. But it was alot of work to use. I prefer Mac Studio Fix Fluid or Mineralize Skin finish liquid much better. I couldn’t wear the Sculpt and Shape alone. It was too thick and I didnt like the way it felt. But if I mixed it with Tinted Moisturizer or MAC Face and Body it worked just fine. The mixing created a thinner consistency but still gave great coverage. This isnt a bad product at all. But I cant see myself repurchasing because I like others better.
Have you tried any of the above? What are your thoughts on the mentioned items?

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Proverbs 31:30 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
