MAC Studio Talk Class and Materials
Hi Everyone. I was going through my photo bucket and found some materials I had saved from a MAC Studio Talk Class I attended a while back.
The class was called Day to Night or am to pm. It was fun but definitely a beginner lesson. The people that I attended the class with really didn’t know much about makeup or application. But all in all it was fun to sit an listen to spend time with the MAC Artists without the store distractions.
I took copies of the materials and hopefully they will be fun for you to browse though. Below are day to night facecharts and some instructions and class descriptions.

My First and Only Tutorial: Reminiscing
I never do tutorials. I feel like I have alot more to learn than to teach most times. A couple of years ago I thought I would try and put together a tutorial for fun.
Let me say DANG! For all of you who make tutorials. Thank you! It is alot of work! Alot of pictures! Editing, instructions and more! I definitely appreciate your hard work!
So for fun I am posting this old tut that I created here for you.
Looking back its hilarious! Some of the pictures had me seriously laughing out loud!

Color Theory… Do You Apply it in your Look?
Do you think of makeup as something you “do” every morning as a requirment of getting ready to start your day or is it more than that? I like to think of my face as as the canvas and look forward to every new day for the opportunity to create something fun and artistic.
When I first started with makeup I had made my eyes the focus and kept my lips the standard daily mauvy plum that was my favorite so many years back. The more I learned about makeup I realized that lips and eyes are both an important part in creating a perfect look. By using contrasting colors from the Color Wheel you can create something not only beautiful. But a look that stands out at the same time almost effortlessly. I purchased a color wheel at the craft store and keep it with my makeup supplies. When I am wondering what colors to wear or need help choosing a lipstick I pull it out to guide me:)
Another tool I stumbled upon was the MAC Bible a couple years back. This is what I believe to be the training tool used for MAC Artists. In case you havent seen it, I will share it with you! I have broken the relevant parts into sections becasue it is a huge file more than 500 pages in size! The sections below go over many aspects of makeup, contouring, color theory and understanding the skin itself. This is probably an outdated version of the guide however still contains alot of great information!
- Makeup Theory
- Color Theory (as discussed above)
- Skin Science
- Brush Collection
- Tools and Accessories
Hope these tool were able to help you in some way or act as a refresher for those who already are familer with the subjects!
